 Dr. Katherine S. Harano, O.D. has been in practice in the Bay Area the past 22 years. Originally from Berkeley, California, she received her B.A. in Zoology from the University of California, Berkeley. Then she continued to receive her B.S. and Doctor of Optometry in 1975. She started her optometry career in both private practice and in a HMO setting through Kaiser Permanente in Hayward. In 1979, she started her own practice in Fremont with her husband, Dr. Eddy L. Haw, O.D., in 1982. They continued the private practice of retiring Dr. Hideo Nakano, O.D. of Newark, California.

Dr. Eddy L. Haw, O.D. has been in practice in the Bay Area for over 22 years. Born and raised in Modesto, he graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a degree in Biological Science. Later he attended and graduated with a B.S. and Doctor of Optometry at the University of California, Berkeley, with honors.
Dr. Kimberly Haw daughter of Dr. Eddy Haw and Dr. Katherine Harano was raised in the bay area. She attended University of California, Santa Cruz and received her bachelor of arts in Biology, then proceeded to Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton California. Kimberly is currently a member of the California Optometric Association and the Alameda Contra Costa Optometric Association.
